Are you completely new to Cross Stitching? Come learn the basics of Counted Cross Stitch. This project will be stitched on 14ct Aida. Aida is an "easy to see" kind of fabric that most people "learn" to stitch on. You will receive the pattern, fabric, floss, button, and needle needed to stitch this project. Other items that you will need are scissors, and a small q-snap or hoop. (You may purchase one from me, or you may bring your own if you have one.) You will be learning the basic techniques of Counted Cross Stitch as well as some of the tricks that I have learned over time. You will have plenty of time to sit and stitch at your own pace so that I may answer any questions that may come up as you go. **Please note that the fabric used in this photo is NOT the fabric you will be stitching on.

Cost: $ 15.00
You will be shown how to use a rotary cutter and do strip-piecing with the traditional Log Cabin. Some are first time quilters and others have taken the class and would like the practice. We will help you choose the right fabric before class. FEE: NONE if you purchase ALL fabric from us (incl. back) $45 if you do not purchase fabric from us.

Now that you know how to Cross Stitch, let's take it to the next level and learn how to stitch OVER 1! Over 1 is a special technique which requires you to stitch over every thread! The stitches are very small and make your pictures look like paintings! This is my absolute favorite way to stitch! Most of the concepts remain the same, however the technique is very different than stitching Over 2. You will receive the pattern, fabric, floss, and needle to stitch this project. **Please note that the button will not be included because you can not use buttons on over 1 projects in most cases. Other items that you will need are scissors, and a small q-snap or hoop. (You may purchase one from me, or you may bring your own if you have one.) **Please note that the fabric used in this photo is NOT the fabric you will be stitching on and the PHOTO IS NOT STITCHED OVER ONE...I just wanted to show you the pattern we were using.

Now that you know how to Cross Stitch on Aida, let's take it to the next level and learn how to stitch OVER 2! This class is also a beginner Counted Cross Stitch Class, however, we will be stitching on an evenweave fabric over 2 threads. You will be learning all of the same techniques that you did in the Beginner's Counted Cross Stitch Class just on different fabric. Evenweaves and Linens give a finer apperance to your background when stitching on them and require a little more technique to stitch on. You do NOT need to take the Beginner's Counted Cross Stitch class first. You will receive the pattern, fabric, floss, button and needle to stitch this project.

We are starting our new quilt this September, but you can join at any time. At 9:00am on the 3rd Saturday of each month, or at 3:30 or 6:00 pm the day before, we will introduce a quilt block and give a short demonstration of a technique or tool that can be used to make that block. We are changing it up this year as our customers expressed that they wanted to mix it up a bit from the traditional sampler blocks. So this year we will be doing Spring on Bleeker St. This quilt will incorporate piecing, applique, and handwork! With this new quilt you will need 2-1/4 yards of background fabric. At the time of sign up, you will be charged a One Time Membership Fee. Should you choose to purchase the background fabric from us at the same time, your One Time Membership fee will only be $7. If you choose to use fabric out of your stash, your membership fee will be $15. After you sign up, you will receive your first kit (plus background fabric if purchasing from us) and you will go home and make the block. Remember, the kits do not include the background fabric! Bring it to the following monthís class and you get the next kit free! To get your free kit you have to come on the third Saturday at 9:00 a.m. or the day before at 3:30 or 6 pm and stay for the demonstration. If you canít come one month, you can buy that monthís kit for $5.00 while supplies last or buy just the pattern for $1.50 and use your stash. DATES: Fri. 9/15, 10/20, 11/17, 12/15 or Sat. 9/16, 10/21, 11/18, 12/16 TIME: Fri. at 3:30 or 6pm or Sat. at 9am
